HPSD District-wide Reading Fair Winners


Hattiesburg Public Schools hosted its annual District-wide Reading Fair on Tuesday, November 14 at the N. R. Burger Transploreum. All first place winners will advance to the Regional Reading Fair that will be held in January at the Lake Terrace Convention Center. Congratulations to all of our winners!

EUROHA Presents Donation to the HHS Band


Special thanks to the members of EUROHA for presenting $9,000 to Hattiesburg Public Schools towards the cost of the HHS Band Uniforms. The group began their fundraising efforts in July and to date, have raised over $9,000. The group also presented $1,000 to the district on behalf of the African American Military History Museum. Grady Gaines, EUROHA President, expressed his gratitude to all those that contributed and looks forward to making similar presentations in the future.

Region 4-5A District Champs and Undefeated Regular Season!


Congratulations to the Hattiesburg High School Tiger Football Team on being named the Region 4-5A District Champions and finishing the regular season with a perfect 11-0 record. This is the first title of its kind for Hattiesburg since 1998. The Tigers hosted the first-round of playoffs on Friday, November 10 and defeated South Jones Braves, 50-0. On November 17, we will travel to Perkinston, MS to play the Stone County Tomcats in the second-round of playoffs.
