Congratulations to our Soccer Tigers! 2018 District Champs: Girls and Boys


Congratulations to our Girls and Boys Varsity Soccer Teams for earning the title of District Champions!

The Lady Tiger Soccer team will take on the Forest Hill Patriots at 6 p.m. TONIGHT, Feb. 5 at D. I. Patrick Stadium. The Tiger Soccer team will take on the Forest Hill Patriots at 7 p.m. TOMORROW, Feb. 6 at D. I. Patrick Stadium.

We need you in the stands to help cheer them on to victory as they host playoff games this week to advance to the next round.

5A South State Football Champions!!

Congratulations to our 2017 South State Champions!


The Hattiesburg Tigers are the 5A South State Football Champions! This is the first time since 1998 that the Tigers have earned this title! They are undefeated (14-0) and on Saturday, December 2, they will compete for the State Championship title against the West Point Green Wave.

Thousands of you showed up to support our Tigers on Friday, and we want to continue that momentum! From attending the game to sending your well-wishes as the team travels north, check out the following ways to be involved this week:

➡️ The championship game is set for Saturday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. in Oxford. On Wednesday, November 29 through Friday, December 1 (3 p.m. – 7 p.m.), you can purchase your tickets for the game at Hattiesburg High’s football ticket booth. Tickets are $14 and HPSD Athletics will receive half of the proceeds. Save time and money with a pre-purchased ticket.

➡️ Beginning Tuesday morning (Nov. 28), visit the City Hall Plaza to sign a big banner of support! The banner will be up during business hours until the end of business on Wednesday, November 29.

➡️Join us at 9 a.m. Saturday, December 2 along either side of Hardy Street, between Hwy 49 and Hutchinson Avenue, to send off our Tigers.



➡️Our Tigers are competing against the West Point Green Wave in the “Gridiron Classic Text to Win” contest hosted by BlueCross BlueShield of Mississippi. Simply text “Gridiron10” to 55333 to cast your vote. One vote per day, per phone number. The team with the most votes by the end of our game’s 3rd quarter will win $1,000.

Hattiesburg Public Schools hosted its annual District-wide Reading Fair on Tuesday, November 14 at the N. R. Burger Transploreum. All first place winners will advance to the Regional Reading Fair that will be held in January at the Lake Terrace Convention Center. Congratulations to all of our winners!
