Hattiesburg Forensics competed at the 62nd Barkley Forum for High Schools at Emory University in Atlanta this weekend. Seniors Derek Collins and Kerrington Anderson claimed another championship for the department finishing in 1st place in Duo Interpretation. This marks the third championship won in this event at the Barkley Forum by HHS FORENSICS in the last seven years. Collins also finished a quarterfinalist in Humorous Interpretation. Ben Parker and Emori Gavin advanced to quarterfinals in Duo Interpretation. Senior All-American Chrystal Wilson advanced to the final round of Prose/Poetry and finished a semifinalist in Dramatic Interpretation. Sophomores Owen Sayre and Kelly Li competed in Lincoln Douglas and Congressional Debate respectively. Over 120 schools representing 24 states competed at the national invitational.
