Two teams from Hattiesburg High School participated in the inaugural iD 8 Hackathon at the University of Southern Mississippi on April 7-8. Teams were tasked with designing an app under the theme “Social for Good.” Each team produced an app prototype and presented it to a panel of three industry professional judges.

The students were also accompanied by mentors, Mrs. Beverly Creel and Dr. Elaine Dean, both STEM teachers from the high school.

WDAM covered the event. Please find the video here: WDAM story
