Employee Assistance Program

Hattiesburg Public School District Employee Assistance Program provides employees help with personal problems that may interfere with job performance or the quality of their lives.

EAP offers a variety of confidential services to employees and their families including free assessments, referrals, counseling, and educational information to assist in resolving personal problems.

Two Avenues of Referral

Self-Referral:An employee recognizes that there is a problem and calls the EAP to request an assessment. After the assessment, a recommendation and referral will be made and counseling or treatment may then begin.

Supervisor Referral:A supervisor, recognizing a decline in job performance and suspecting that personal problems may be a significant factor, directs the employee to obtain an assessment from EAP. After the assessment has been completed, a recommendation and referral will be made and counseling or treatment may begin if agreed to by the employee.

Confidentiality

All contacts with EAP are handled professionally and are strictly confidential.
