NR BURGER FORENSICS PLACES AT TOURNAMENT

NR Burger Middle School Forensics (pictured below) displayed talent and class at the Petal Invitational this past Saturday. The students competed in a variety of events, for novices and varsity students. The middle schoolers held their own against the high schoolers against the largely high school competition.

HHS FORENSICS WINS PETAL TOURNAMENT

It was a great weekend for Hattiesburg HS activities.  The football team beat Oak Grove and the forensics team continued their winning ways by claiming 1st place at the 2011 Petal HS Fall Invitational.  Oak Grove HS finished 2nd followed by Pascagoula HS in 3rd respectively.  HHS Forensics improved to 5-0 with the victory and now prepares for national competitions beginning in December.

Grace Christian Elementary 2011 United Way Kickoff Pep Rally

WAL-MART DONATES $1000 TO GRACE CHRISTIAN TEACHERS

Wal-Mart on 49 recently gave $1000 to Grace Christian as part of the Teacher's Reward Program. Ten teachers were randomly selected to receive gift cards of $100 each. The person in charge of the Reward's Program is Ms. LaRonda Butler. She awarded the teachers their gifts on Thursday, October 13, 2011.

TWO HHS STUDENTS MAKE STATE HONOR CHOIR

Two out of three students who auditioned for the Mississippi Girl Treble Song Honor Choir were chosen to sing in the Honor Choir in February, 2012. Over 200 girls from 30 schools auditioned this year from across the state. 100 girls are chosen each year to do this special program. Friday, Oct 21 is PINK OUT day at HPSD

HHS HOMECOMING THIS WEEK!

Hattiesburg High School Tigers will celebrate Homecoming on Friday, October 14,2011 against the Forrest Hill Patriots. HHS will be hosting a Homecoming Bonfire/Pep-Rally Thursday night at 6:30pm! HHS FORENSICS WINS AT OAK GROVE

Hattiesburg HS Forensics captured the Overall Sweepstakes Championship at what was the largest tournament in Oak Grove High School Forensics history. 27 schools and over 350 students competed in 21 competitive events before HHS claimed 1st place for the second year in a row. The team tied the record for most points recorded at the Oak Grove Warrior Invitational that HHS set in 2005!
