HPSD energy conservation efforts have reduced energy usage by 9,474 MMBTU, or the equivalent of 928 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions or equal to taking 167 cars off the road for a full year or 23,746 pine trees growing for ten years!
Jeff Bryant and members of the Hub City Kiwanis Club donated an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) to the district, which was accepted with great appreciation by the Board and Superintendent James Q. The devices are automated and will only use defibrillation if the person needs it. These life-saving devices can are taught in many first aid trainings and are designed to be simple to use for the layman.
