Public Notice: Intent to Submit Application for Grant

The Hattiesburg Public School District is applying for a 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) Grant. The purpose of the 21st CCLC Program is to create community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities for children and their families by providing a safe environment for students when school is not in session. 

Public input about the proposed 21st CCLC Program may be made to Dr. Vicki Kibodeaux, Federal Programs Director, 601-582-5078, or Vicki.kibodeaux@hattiesburgpsd.com.

The grant proposal will be submitted to the State Department of Education on March 19, 2012, and will be reviewed and scored by a peer review committee. The grant application will be available for public review after submission of the application.  The Peer Review Committee will determine the quality of the proposal and awards will be announced by May 18, 2012 pending MS State Board of Education approval.
