Hattiesburg High Forensics advances to National Championships

The Hattiesburg High School Forensics team will make their 40th appearance at the 2020 National Speech and Debate Championship on June 10th to June 20th. The traditional brick and mortar tournament was originally held in Albuquerque, NM but was moved to an online format due to COVID-19. Student performances have been videotaped in their homes and have been uploaded to the national tournament program. They will have the opportunity to attend competition rounds, workshops, and virtual tutorials during the event.

Hattiesburg High School claimed both entry slots for Mississippi in Duo Interpretation and will be represented by senior partners Casey Buisson (NSDA All-American) and Adonai Hill, both University of Alabama Forensic Council scholarship recipients.  Underclassmen Logan Green and Morgan Murphy round out the competition team and will be making their debut at the national championships.

Congratulations and best of luck to these students who in light of challenges and circumstances related to COVID-19 will carry the flag of Hattiesburg High School's Forensics at the national championship tournament.
