Eight Schools Recognized During the Mississippi Governor’s & Partnership Awards

The Mississippi Association of Partners in Education celebrated the 2021 Governor’s Awards on Friday, March 26, 2021. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Virtual Governor’s Awards ceremony broadcasted online, replacing the original in-person banquet held in Hattiesburg.

The Governor's Awards are partnerships that have demonstrated strong participation from students, teachers, parents, and the community, with measurable results that positively affect each child's education.
 
Award winners are selected from nominations submitted in multiple categories, reflecting how partnerships have worked to help connect businesses and community resources with schools and districts' needs.
 
Through recognizing these education and community partnerships that are doing exceptionally well and making the information about these outstanding partnerships available, it creates opportunities for replication throughout the state.
