HPSD Summer Programs

Ride the Tide (Incoming Kindergarten and 1st Graders
We're offering a FREE summer program to all incoming Kindergarten and incoming 1st grade students who are registered for 2019-2020 year. The goal is to provide relevant and engaging instruction aimed at increasing academic readiness for the upcoming school year.
 
June 3 - July 12, 2019 from 8:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday)
Woodley Elementary School

**Transportation, breakfast, and lunch are free and will be provided daily.

Summer Bridge Programs
  • Incoming 7th and 8th Grade Students- This summer incoming seventh and eight grade students have the opportunity to participate in a summer enrichment program that will enrich the content areas of English Language Arts, Math, and Science centered on the theme of Radio,Television,and Film. This session will meet June 3-28, 2019 (Monday through Friday) from 8:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. at Burger Middle School. For more information, please call (601) 582-0536.
  • Incoming 9th Grade Students- This session will meet June 3-28, 2019 (Monday through Friday) from 8:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. at Burger Middle School. For more information, please call (601) 544-0811.
Credit Recovery
Students will have an opportunity to earn credit hours during the summer. Tuition is $125 per session. The session will begin on June 3 and conclude on June 28. Classes will meet Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. at Burger Middle School. For more information, please contact your school counselor.
Community Partnership Summer Programs
  • HPR Day Program (Available to incoming 2nd- 6th Grade Students)
      • Session 1: June 3, 2019- June 28, 2019, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
      • Session 2: July 28, 2019- July 19, 2019, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
The registration fee is $35 which includes both sessions and will be located at Lillie Burney STEAM Academy.

  • HPR Afternoon Program (Available to students participating in the HPSD Summer Enrichment programs.) 
  • Session 1: June 3, 2019- June 28, 2019, 12:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.
  • Session 2: July 28, 2019- July 19, 2019, 12:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.
The registration fee is $35 which includes both sessions and will be located at various locations depending on the age of participating children. Incoming Kindergarten and 1st Grade students will be housed at Woodley Elementary. Incoming 7th and 8th Grade Students will be housed at Burger Middle School.
