Exceptional Children & Health Services

The Exceptional Children and Health Services Department’s purpose is to provide a broad continuum of services to students with exceptional needs and talents through a comprehensive system of supports that address the academic, social, health, emotional, psychological and behavioral needs of our varied and dynamic students.  Exceptional Children and Health Services provides support to special education, gifted education and school health services.

Notice of Annual Project Application Under Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) 2017-2018
The public is invited to review and provide feedback on the FY18 “2017-2018” IDEA Part B and Preschool budgets. The budget application is available for viewing online at http://www.hattiesburgpsd.com and at the Hattiesburg Public School District Administrative Office located at 301 Mamie Street Suite D. Formal comment period ends June 30, 2017.
