Dr. Sheree Donaldson was federally appointed to the Mississippi Army National Guard with an official date of rank of February 11, 2022. On April 20, 2022, she made history as the first officer to be directly commissioned at the Center for Military Veterans, Service Members, and Families located on The University of Southern Mississippi’s campus in Hattiesburg, MS. Sheree is a U.S. Army Captain (CPT) assigned to the Nurse Corps. She is tasked with Behavioral Health operations in the Mississippi Medical Readiness detachment command unit located at Camp Shelby, MS. CPT Donaldson completed her professional military education and training at the Fires Center of Excellence in Fort Sill, OK. She graduated from the Army Medical Department Direct Commission Course on July 22, 2024. CPT Donaldson is married to Mr. Robert Donaldson, Sr. They have three children: Jamal, Reagan, and Robert, Jr. Sheree is a native of Hattiesburg. She graduated from Hattiesburg High School with Special Honors in 2005. She earned a Bachelor of Science (BS), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Master of Education (MEd), Education Specialist (EdS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from William Carey University. Mrs. Donaldson also attained a post-graduate certificate (PGC), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from The University of Southern Mississippi.
Dr. Donaldson serves as an Adjunct Faculty member in the College of Nursing and Health Professions at The University of Southern Mississippi. Dr. Sheree has been employed with the Mississippi Department of Mental Health serving individuals at Ellisville State School for 5 years. She currently rotates between the Medical and Psychological Services departments and serves as the Campus Psychiatric Provider. Dr. Donaldson has been practicing for 11 years serving clients in rural health settings. Donaldson co-owns a business with her husband. She is founder and COO of Complete Care Solutions, PLLC (CCS). The company contracts care to long-term care facilities and urgent care centers, including a recent contract with the U.S. Department of Defense. Complete Care also offers FREE educational services to students across the nation. CCS has presence in ten schools and seven states including Alabama, Georgia, Minnesota, Mississippi, Tennessee, Utah, and Wisconsin. Dr. Sheree educates and precepts students from: Hattiesburg High School; Herzing University; South University; The University of Southern Mississippi; The University of Tennessee Health Science Center; University of Mississippi Medical Center; University of North Alabama; University of South Alabama; Walden University and Western Governors University. Dr. Sheree is dually certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to manage patients across the lifespan—pediatric to geriatric and psychiatric. Dr. Donaldson has a passion for helping individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. She integrates primary care, behavioral health, and substance use treatment into her daily practice. Sheree is dedicated to being a lifelong learner and committed to bridging the gap between theory and practice.
