Mrs. Samone Faulkner Wilson is a native of Hattiesburg, MS, and a proud Special Honor Graduate of the Hattiesburg High School Class of 2006. In May 2010, she completed her undergraduate studies as a Centennial and Magna Cum Laude graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations. She also holds a Master of Science Degree in Public Relations also from Southern Miss.
Mrs. Wilson is currently employed as a Public Affairs Specialist for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) at the John C. Stennis Space Center in Hancock County, MS. Prior to rejoining the NASA team, she served as the Communications and Engagement Coordinator for Hattiesburg Public School District for two years.
She is a Spring 2008 initiate of The Iota Kappa Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and currently serves as Vice President, Technology Chair, and Graduate Advisory Council of the Theta Sigma Omega Chapter. She is a member of the Hattiesburg Public School District Foundation Board and Lighthouse Christian Center.
She is married to her college sweetheart, Justin Wilson, and they are the proud parents of a vivacious and energetic three-year-old daughter, Sydni Jade.
