Charles (C.J.) Anderson, Jr. enters his second year teaching Physical Education at Woodley Elementary School and also his second season as Defensive Line Coach for Hattiesburg High School. Anderson is a graduate of 2016 where he also was a standout football and baseball player. After completing his high school football career with the Hattiesburg Tigers, Anderson furthered his academic/athletic career at “Thee” Jackson State University in Jackson, MS. Throughout his career at JSU, he received accolades such as 2018 2ND Team ALL-SWAC PHIL-STEEL, 2019 1ST Team ALL-SWAC PHIL-STEEL, 2019 1ST Team ALL-SWAC, and 1ST ever HBCU COMBINE participant from JSU. C.J. completed his college career in 2019 and graduated Magna Cum Laude with his degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation.

Hattiesburg Early Learning Collaborative
The Hattiesburg Early Learning Collaborative is one of 37 early learning collaboratives in Mississippi. We are the largest early learning collaborative in the Pine Belt and are funded to serve 329 preschoolers. All 20 HELC classrooms are provided with the same resources, assessments, high-quality curriculum, and experienced teachers.
